Baby's First Birthday Ideas: Under The Sea Theme

A baby's first birthday is probably the most stressful one of them all! I spent the first half of my 2016 planning and scouting for the perfect and hassle-free places to get decorations that would fit the theme I wanted. It was hard to even come up with a theme, it's not like Camila can tell me she's super obsessed with mermaids and fish. The under the sea theme was easy and in season, so anything I didn't find online and needed last minute I was able to find it at the store. Disclosure, this post was compensated but all opinions are my own!

All of the streamers, lanterns, and balloons are courtesy of Oriental Trading. If you're not familiar with Oriental Trading you should be they are an online company that has literally everything you can think of when it comes to party decorating at a wholesale price.

I ended up putting a lot of thought into what I wanted her party to look like and DIYed to my hearts content. Especially to create these Lantern Jellyfish, I even made a cute sign in table with clothes pins and fish net I found at the dollar store and a table runner from Minted.

Thanks to Minted who took care of the super cute customizable table signs & table runner!

After a week full of decorating and late night DIY's everything ended looking exactly the way I envisioned it! A really big thank you to Oriental Trading & Minted for helping to make my vision come to life! Stay Tuned tomorrow to see all the sweet treats I had at the party thanks to Madre T's Sweet Creations and on wednsday a DIY post on how to make those cool lantern Jellyfish.

What was or is your baby's first birthday theme?
