Under The Sea Sweet Treats

There are two reasons everyone comes to my family's parties, one: the creative and fun decorations we have and two: to see and eat the delicious sweets my mom makes! I have been very blessed to have a mother that loves what she does and it truly shows in her work.

We decided to stick to tropical flavors, and handheld items like cupcakes and these push pop cakes to minimize the amount of cake we have left over! My mom really wanted to make a four-tiered cake on top of the cupcakes and push-pops, but luckily I convinced her otherwise. No one likes to take slices of cake home but no one is opposed to taking a cupcake! (haha)

We topped them with buttercream frosting, white chocolate starfish & seashells, and brown sugar to look like sand to stick with the theme. The cupcakes were lemon flavors, the push pops were pineapple, and the cake was strawberry flavored!

Overall it made for an amazing looking and tasting sweets table!

When we put Camila on the table next to her cake to take a picture she really couldn't help herself and dug into 3 cupcakes which made us have to sing happy birthday a little earlier than we had planned!

You can find my mom on Facebook (Madre T's Sweet Creations & Fiesta Boutique) if you need a cake and are in the Houston area here

PS She's doing a Facebook giveaway when she hits 1,000 like on her page!!
