The Easiest Arroz Con Leche (Rice Pudding) Recipe Ever

This post is sponsored by ALDI, however, all opinions expressed below are 100% my own true opinions.

Arroz con leche, or Rice with Milk is one of those dishes that just warms your soul. I have fond memories with my great grandma who would make the chocolate version of this recipe and my grandma liked to make the strawberry version. I remember my grandma waking up earlier than everyone else to put the rice to boil, but since I enjoy my sleep and don’t think I’ve reached abuelita status I make it in the rice cooker! To all the traditionalists out there I’m sorry, but this is a modern spin on an old classic. My favorite thing to do these days is finding new ways to make old recipes modern and easy to replicate in my everyday life!

Arroz con leche is known to some people as rice pudding, or Rice with milk translated literally, and originated in Spain which then made its way to South America during the age of exploration! Fun fact, my great grandpa’s family is from Spain and settled in Mexico. This dish can be served hot or cold but I prefer it hot during the colder seasons because it hits the spot and makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside. With a nice warm blanket and a fire, it’s an easy way to please a crowd. This can even be a good dessert with fresh fruits or a chocolate drizzle!
