Unboxing and First Impression of Kat Von D's Lock-It Collection

Disclosure: This post was sponsored by Sephora inside JCPenney, however, all the opinions expressed below are 100% my own true opinions. #SephoraInJCP #SoWorthIt

I am a huge fan of Kat Von D, one because she is Latina, two because I’ve loved her since LA Ink, and three because I love her foundation so when Sephora inside JCPenney presented the opportunity to try the whole Lock-It collection I was beyond ecstatic! Her foundation always gave me flawless full coverage and made my skin look silky smooth so I couldn’t wait to see what all the products would do for me together!

I’ve always loved to wear makeup, but I don’t always get to splurge on the higher end of makeup, so getting to test it out before I made an investment was a huge bonus. I went to Sephora inside JCPenney to do the Color IQ test to find the perfect shade for my skin. I was impressed by the brushes because I thought they would leave my face streaky but they actually gave me better results than my beauty blender did! I was also surprised by the Hydrating base primer because I normally go for a thicker formula and this one was a little thinner but still did an amazing job and made the foundation look even better than when I would just put the foundation on without a primer.

When I tested all the products together I was impressed with the results. I didn’t expect for to fall in love with them, or for the brushes to actually work better than the tool I normally use. I am now even convinced that I need to incorporate translucent powder into my everyday routine because it did such an amazing job controlling my shine and making sure my makeup stayed in place and fresh throughout the rest of the day.

I love it when makeup leaves me feeling confident and glowy because the rest of my day I feel like I can conquer literally everything that life throws at me. Watch the video below to see how I applied these products & how flawless they made me look!
