Fruity Pebbles Dessert Nachos | Happy National Cereal Day!

This post was created in collaboration with Pebbles Cereal, however, all opinions expressed below are 100% my own true opinions.

I’m always trying to think of new and exciting ways to create sweets, especially because I have such a sweet tooth with this pregnancy! I wanted to see if I could put a sweet spin on one of my favorite snacks, nachos, and omg the result was a plate of heavenly sweetness. I decided to use Fruity Pebbles because they’ve been my favorite cereal since I was a little girl and they continue to be my favorite cereal even today. Weird fact: I love for my cereal to get soggy before I eat it! I know not everyone’s cup of tea (or bowl of cereal) but that’s just how I like it.

ingredients:

  • 5 Flour Tortillas
  • 1 cup of finely crushed Fruity Pebbles Cereal
  • ½ cup of Sugar
  • ⅓ cup of Cinnamon
  • 2 cups of Canola Oil

instructions:

  1. Cut your Tortillas into triangles! Each tortilla can be cut into 8 triangles
  2. Preheat 2 cups of Canola Oil in a deep frying pan
  3. Prepare your Sugar bath: Mix your sugar, cinnamon & crushed fruity pebbles
  4. Once the oil is hot enough fry your tortillas until they’re light brown
  5. Immediately after removing the tortillas from the oil place them in the sugar bath (the oil helps the sugar mixture stick to the tortilla)
  6. Serve with fresh fruit, more fruity pebbles, drizzle condensed milk & use honey & vanilla yogurt as a dip!
