A Growing Family Means A Bigger Car - Car Buying Confidence With Autotrader

This is part of a sponsored collaboration with Autotrader and DiMe Media. However, all opinions expressed are my own

Our family is growing by one this fall & I don’t think 2 car seats are going to fit comfortably in our 2005 Toyota Corolla! We’ve been on the hunt for a family car for a while now (2 years lol!) but we just haven’t found one that fits all of our needs, plus taking 2 babies to a dealership, to me, isn’t the best idea. I’ve never really been a fan of them, to be honest, so in my quest for streamlining all of the things in my life to get the long-term goals on my to-do list, I came across Autotrader. They had always been in the back of my mind since last year because I met a rep at a conference but we hadn’t really been as serious about car buying until we found out we were expecting. So I decided to give the app a try finally, because car buying from the comfort of your own home, I’m all about that!

We’ve tried our fair share of car brands, from Mazda, Toyota, to Buick and there are things we love and would change about them to fit our lifestyle so I decided to start with a price range that we’re comfortable with and see what car brands populated from there. To my surprise, there were more than I had anticipated. The website allows me to save the ones I like, that match the criteria I’ve put in so that I can show my favorites to my husband, my mom, & my dad later to see what they think about them. Car buying for us has always been a family affair, this way I don’t have to take them all with us to the dealership.

One of my favorite features is the Kelley Blue Book® Fair Market Range tool. This tool lets you know if the price the dealer or seller is offering is good while taking all of the factors into account. That way I feel confident when we do decide to go to the dealership that we’re getting the fairest price available. Later this year, Autotrader will be providing all-new opportunities to move shoppers from searching to buying when they are ready, empowering consumers to start the deal online, reducing the time it takes to complete the purchase, and making it faster and easier than ever for dealers to close sales. I can’t believe I’m this excited to be able to buy a car online, and not have to deal with car salesmen until I’m ready to sign the paperwork!

Do you think with all of these new tools you’d feel more empowered to buy a car, knowing that you’ll have all the information of the vehicle before you go to the dealership?
